Area Organizations to Lend a Hand for United Way Day of Caring
Bradenton, Florida – On August 11th, the United Way of Manatee County hosted their annual Day of Caring. Employees from area organizations such as Bright House Networks, Eaton Corporation, The Herald, Manatee County Government, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Saunders & Company, Publix Supermarkets, SunTrust, and United Way Board Members donated their time and completed a half-day service project at United Way funded agencies across Manatee County.
Over 112 volunteers started their day at the United Way where they were treated to a breakfast and received their assignments for the day. The event was sponsored by Manatee Memorial Hospital. The event was part of a series of special events to kick off the 2005/2006 United Way Fundraising Campaign.
