Contributions are invested carefully and systematically in programs that work. We have a great responsibility to make sure contributions are invested in the most effective way possible.
The following information outlines our four Community Impact Areas:
- Food & Shelter
Families and community members move from crisis and return to stability and self-sufficiency.
- Intervention and Prevention for Abuse and Violence
Community members connect with resources or attain skills to prevent, or to begin their recovery from, abuse, neglect and/or violence.
- Early Childhood Development
Children develop cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills so that they are ready for learning in school.
- Services for People with Disabilities, the Elderly and their Caregivers
Community members acquire functioning skills necessary to more fully integrate and participate in the community and to achieve a satisfying quality of life.
- Youth Development
Youth improve academic achievement, develop pro-social attitudes to help them make better choices in life, and lower risk behaviors.
These impact areas represent our Community's Agenda for a better quality of life for all of us in Manatee County. To learn more about contribution distribution read about our Community Investment Process.
